Day at the Ballpark with Breakthrough Schools

sponsors

Over 50 business and civic leaders hosted over 100 middle school students from Cleveland’s Breakthrough Schools on Thursday, September 8, 2016 for a day of mentoring and fun at the Cleveland Indians game. Students shared their education and career goals with hosts over lunch in the club section. Thanks to the Cleveland Indians, Breakthrough Schools, and the generous support from hosts and sponsoring organizations! We look forward to another fun day out next season!

About Breakthrough Schools:
Breakthrough Schools is the highest-performing network of free, public charter schools in Cleveland, Ohio for the second year in a row. The nationally-recognized network of schools was formed in 2010 by three of the highest-performing, non-selective, college preparatory, urban public charter schools in Cleveland — Citizens Academy, E Prep, and The Intergenerational School. They are building upon their successes by opening new Citizens, Preps, and Intergenerational schools throughout Cleveland. Their vision is to further Greater Cleveland’s transformation by providing distinctive school options for no fewer than 6,000 children in 19 schools by 2020. Currently they have 10 campuses serving nearly 3,300 students throughout Cleveland.
